Water weight bags are a very simple solution to holding down marquees and staging. There are two types of bag.

Type (1)

To hold down marquees where it is not possible to drive stakes into the ground or to avoid the cost of reinstatement of concrete or tarmac.

The water weight bag is attached to the top of the marquee leg. The standard size is 1.8 metres long and the following diameters will achieve the corresponding hold down force.

• Diameter 300 mm - Weight 120 kgs
• Diameter 350 mm - Weight 170 kgs
• Diameter 400 mm - Weight 220 kgs
• Diameter 450 mm - Weight 270 kgs

The bags are filled at the top by hose and emptied through a bung in the bottom. Extras include valves and hose to drain to waterway. They come in a good choice of colours and any custom size can be made.

Type (2)

Staging often requires static weight to counteract uplift forces. Water weight bags can either be attached to the main floor joists at the leg or can be located inside lattice beams or trusses.

The bags are easy to install and use, and significantly reduce costs of transporting concrete weights.

Water weight bags can be any size, shape or colour.
